Kenneth J. Rogers is Director of Real Estate Analysis for the law firm of Fisk Kart Katz and Regan. Mr. Rogers has extensive experience in matters involving the financial operations, valuation, and tax assessment of major commercial properties, particularly superregional malls and shopping centers. His retail property experience ranges from grocery anchored strip centers to mixed used landmarks such as The Houston Galleria, to mega-malls such as the Mall of America.

Prior to his employment with Fisk Kart Katz and Regan, Mr. Rogers served as Midwest practice leader for purchase price allocation services with KPMG Peat Marwick, a Big Five accounting firm. Mr. Rogers was also in charge of the property tax practice for the Indianapolis office and served as a national resource at KPMG Peat Marwick on valuation issues for retail properties.

Mr. Rogers previously had been Director of Property Taxes and Director of Financial Analysis for Simon Property Group, the largest regional mall REIT in the country. As Director of Financial Analysis, Mr. Rogers was responsible for all budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis for the company, including DCF analyses in connection with joint venture formations and property level debt financings. As Director of Property Taxes, his responsibilities included property tax administration and appeals, from informal negotiation to litigation, for over 200 commercial properties including superregional malls, mixed use projects, shopping centers, office buildings and hotels in thirty four states.

Mr. Rogers has been a panelist at the International Council of Shopping Centers Financial Management Conference, speaking on the topics of capital budgeting for shopping centers and property tax management in 1993. He has been a panelist at the Institute for Professionals in Taxation 1995 Annual Symposium, speaking on capitalization rates. Mr. Rogers has also been a panelist at the 1995 educational seminar sponsored by the American Property Tax Counsel (APTC) on the subject of property tax administration.

Mr. Rogers has received the Counselor of Real Estate (CRE) designation from The Counselors of Real Estate. He is also a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), the International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO), and the Institute for Professionals in Taxation (IPT).

Mr. Rogers received his undergraduate degree from Taylor University in Upland, Indiana. He received his Masters in Business Administration from Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana.
