James P. Scheffke is a Real Estate Tax Administrator for the law firm of Fisk Kart Katz and Regan, Ltd. His primary function is analyzing property valuations and preparing tax appeals for commercial and industrial properties. He has extensive experience in the valuation of all sectors of real estate, national account management and project management. His role as liaison provides clients with a single point of contact for their national real estate portfolios ad valorem tax analysis and appeals.

Prior to joining Fisk Kart Katz and Regan, Mr. Scheffke worked as the Assistant Director of Assessment Planning for the Cook County Assessor. His responsibilities included the development and implementation of a valuation system for all commercial and industrial properties in Chicago. He formerly worked for a Fortune 500 manufacturing company where he was a manager with profit and loss responsibility. He managed several multi-million dollar projects at O’Hare, Midway, Los Angeles and Lambert Field Airports.

Mr. Scheffke was awarded a Certified Illinois Assessment Officer (CIAO) designation from the Illinois Property Assessment Institute (IPAI), and is a candidate for Certified Assessment Evaluator (CAE) designation from the International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO). He is also a member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation (IPT).

Mr. Scheffke holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, and a Masters of Business Administration in Finance from the Stuart School of Business at the Illinois Institute of Technology.
