Jeffrey A. Brown is a partner with the law firm of Fisk Kart Katz and Regan, Ltd.  He has worked extensively on matters involving the assessments of major industrial complexes, office buildings, hotels, shopping centers, apartment developments, Industrial Incentive Assessment Applications, and Tax Increment Finance Projects.

Prior to joining Fisk Kart and Katz, Mr. Brown was a real estate and litigation partner with the law firm Engerman & Brown, Ltd.   Before that, Mr. Brown was an assistant attorney general representing the State of Illinois in a variety of litigation matters.

Mr. Brown has been a speaker at various seminars involving property tax matters, tax incentives, and tax increment finance.  He has written articles for the Chicago Mortgage Attorney’s Association and contributed chapters to the Taxpayer’s Remedies Chapter in the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education Treatise on Real Estate Taxation.

Mr. Brown is a member of the Chicago Mortgage Attorney’s Association, Illinois Mortgage Banker’s Association, Civic Federation’s Ad Hoc Committee on Tax Increment Financing, as well as the Chicago, Illinois and American Bar Associations.

Mr. Brown received his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and his Juris Doctor from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
